For over twenty years, Jennifer Keller has practiced in the area of civil litigation before both federal and state courts of appeal. Her practice has encompassed a wide array of issues arising in diverse contexts, including toxic tort litigation, product liability, insurance coverage, professional malpractice, construction litigation, federal and state constitutional law, statutory interpretation, administrative law, state and local taxation, and civil rights litigation.

A small sampling of reported decisions in appellate cases handled by Ms. Keller include: Jones v. Lincoln Electric Co.,188 F.3d 709 (7th Cir. 1999) (toxic tort litigation); Matter of Volpert, 110 F. 3d 494 (7th Cir. 1997) (pro bono case of first impression re: bankruptcy court jurisdiction); Zych v. Unidentified Wrecked and Abandoned Vessel, Believed to be the Seabird, 19 F. 3d 1136 (7th Cir. 1994) (complex application of in rem admiralty jurisdiction, federal Abandoned Shipwrecks Act and Eleventh Amendment); In re C.E., 161 Ill. 2d 200, 641 N.E.2d 3345 (1994) (case of first impression re: constitutionality of state statutory scheme authorizing forced administration of psychotropic medications); Ficke v. Evangelical Health Systems, 285 Ill. App. 3d 886, 674 N.E.2d 888 (1st Dist. 1996) (interpretation and application of Health Care Surrogate Act); Branum v. Slezak Constr. Co. Inc.,289 Ill. App. 3d 948, 682 N.E.2d 1165 (1st Dist. 1997) (construction litigation). 

In addition to her extensive experience, Ms. Keller is well known for her  insightful analysis and thorough knowledge of the intricate appellate rules and procedures. At the Gloor Law Group LLC, she serves as a consultant to the firm’s trial teams building value for clients by analyzing potential appellate issues and ensuring that issues are preserved for future reference or for case posture on a future appeal.

The scope of her professional experience prior to joining the Gloor Law Group LLC includes having chaired the appellate practice group at a mid-size insurance defense firm in Chicago (1994-1999) and serving as Deputy Chief of the Civil Appeals Division at the Illinois Attorney General’s office (1991-1994). Additionally, Ms. Keller has volunteered her legal services in pro bono matters in the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit.

She is a member of the Chicago Bar Association and the Appellate Lawyers Association. She is also a past member of the Board of Directors of the Appellate Lawyers Association.
