D. Patterson Gloor has represented some of the country's biggest companies in their most important civil litigation. He has tried more than 100 cases to verdict, in state and federal courts across the country, winning a national reputation for his skill with juries. His practice includes toxic tort and environmental litigation, professional negligence, products liability, insurance coverage and commercial litigation.

For almost twenty years, Mr. Gloor has been Midwest regional counsel to the welding industry. In that capacity he directs all aspects of the litigation, including document review, discovery and examination of witnesses.  

He is currently responsible for more than 250 cases on behalf of the welding industry. Those matters include products liability cases pending in several states across the nation for various manufacturers of welding products.

Most recently, Mr. Gloor won a six-week jury trial in Madison County, Illinois on behalf of the welding industry.  

Mr. Gloor also renders opinions on insurance coverage matters and handles declaratory judgment suits seeking judicial declaration of rights and responsibilities under insurance policies. Mr. Gloor has written and spoken widely and taught a products liability course at the Chicago-Kent School of Law.

Mr. Gloor is a member of the Chicago Bar Association, the Illinois State Bar Association and the American Bar Association.
